Menominee County has declared a state of emergency due to flooding this week along the Lake Michigan shoreline. Twenty-two homes and buildings north of Menominee flooded Monday and Tuesday as wind and waves drove water inland. Paul Geyer, Delta and Schoolcraft County Emergency Management coordinator, says damage reported in Delta County has not been as significant as Menominee County to warrant a disaster declaration.
