Crews were taking down ash trees yesterday in downtown Escanaba killed by the Emerald Ash Borer that has moved into the community.  In an effort to save some of the trees, the city has been working with Joe Kaplan at Common Coast Research and Conservation. He began injecting the trees last year with a compound to kill the Emerald Ash borer.
