The son of an Escanaba couple who were killed by a logging truck driver high on marijuana says Michigan’s efforts to detect drugged driving with a roadside saliva test is going to be promoted by a newly formed national organization.
The group that will be launched in late July is called the National Alliance To Stop Impaired Driving. Brian Swift says the goal is to take what Michigan has done to test for drivers under the influence of drugs and make it a national effort.
