The Gladstone City Commission set new utility rates that take effect August 1.

 

The largest increase was for wastewater. Those rate will go up by $11.50 per 3,000 gallons. Commissioner Brad Mantella says the funds are needed to increase the plant’s capacity to prevent partially treated discharges.
