The Escanaba City Council took steps last night to begin the process of allowing marijuana businesses in the city. The council hired attorney Laura Genovich with Foster Swift in Grand Rapids to handle its marijuana regulations. Genovich says it is helpful to know what the community wants when it comes to allowing marijuana business.
