The Wells Township board has approved a resolution in support of a Forest Products Processing Renaissance Zone at the Escanaba Paper Mill. The move creates a property tax break for Billerud on a proposed $1 billion investment at the mill. Wells Township Supervisor Bob Stasewich says the conversion of the mill to paperboard is going to change the area.
